Intervala renews lease at RIDC’s Westmoreland Innovation Park

Commitment to Quality, Agility, and Growth Anchors the Company’s Presence in Southwestern Pennsylvania

Intervala, a full-service electronics manufacturing services (EMS) provider specializing in complex electronic and electromechanical products, has signed a renewal of its lease for the 218,000 square feet it occupies at RIDC’s Westmoreland Innovation Center in New Stanton, PA. The growing company employs 250 people at this location, which it has occupied since 2021.  It continues to expand its role as a key contributor to the region’s advanced manufacturing ecosystem.

Intervala delivers high-performance system integration — including printed circuit board assemblies, electromechanical systems, and cable and harness assemblies — for technology-driven customers in the aerospace and defense, medical and life sciences, industrial and data center markets. The company’s engineering depth, design-for-manufacturing expertise, and customer-first mindset distinguish it within the EMS industry.

“Our decision to renew our lease at RIDC Westmoreland reflects both our confidence in the region and our commitment to our employees and customers,” said Rob McKernan, CEO, Intervala. “This location provides the skilled talent, space, and logistical advantages that support our growth and the success of the global customers we serve.”

“Intervala is an important part of the Westmoreland Innovation Center – an advanced manufacturing company that supports the needs of companies that rely on and produce the new technologies that will define our region’s economy in the future,” said RIDC President Donald F. Smith, Jr.

The Westmoreland Innovation Center, a former factory for Volkswagen and then Sony, is a partnership between RIDC and Westmoreland County. The two million square feet of space has been transformed into a multi-tenant facility that, in addition to Intervala, is home to Siemens Energy, City Brewing, and Westmoreland County Community College’s Advanced Technology Center – and more than 1,000 jobs.

RIDC Westmoreland will also be the home of PennSTART, a state-of-the-art shared test track, research and training facility for technology companies and first responders, that is about to break ground.
