Director of Operational Excellence
Florin Larion is director of operational excellence for Intervala, where he is responsible for advancing a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business. In this role, Florin uses Lean methodologies and tools to facilitate companywide process-related improvements and standardization, and achieve strategic objectives, including on time delivery, cost reduction and efficiency. He is an accomplished Lean Six Sigma master black belt with nearly 20 years of lean experience within the global manufacturing arena.
Florin joined Intervala in 2024 from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation, where he was charged with implementing the Toyota Production System Lean tools. He previously held continuous improvement management roles and led Lean initiatives for Knoll Inc., Sterlite Technologies Ltd., NCR Corporation, Flextronics International Ltd., Corning Cable Systems, Danaher Corporation, and DaimlerChrysler, among other U.S.-based and global manufacturers.
Florin earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Cluj. In addition to being a Lean Six Sigma master black belt, he is a certified DMAIC Six Sigma black belt, recognized kaizen sensei and certified ISO 9000/9001 lead auditor.
