‘Tis the season for giving at Intervala! Cheers to our generous employees who once again came through for Pittsburgh-area children in need by contributing cash, toys and gifts for the Salvation Army’s Treasures for Children campaign. And thanks to members of the United States Coast Guard’s Marine Safety Unit of Pittsburgh for doing the heavy lifting and picking up our donations. Salvation Army programs assist approximately 25 million people in the U.S. annually during times of crisis, and we are honored to support their good works in our community during this holiday season.

Intervala Sponsors Student Manufacturing Video Project

It was great fun to have students from Norwin Middle School with us last week to kick off filming for their “What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?” video entry. The kids looked like pros interviewing and filming Director of Operations Joe Benz about what Intervala does in the manufacturing arena. They are participating in an annual student video contest sponsored by Catalyst Connection. The STEAM-focused program pairs up middle school students across Pennsylvania with local companies to create a new perspective on the exciting career opportunities that exist in manufacturing. Voting for the best student video will take place in early February with winners announced later that month.
