Teresa Huber

President and Chief Executive Officer

Teresa Huber is president and chief executive officer for Intervala. She has served in this role since Intervala’s inception in January 2016, and is responsible for leading the company’s strategic direction and long-term growth. She also serves on the board of directors. Teresa has more than 25 years of management experience in strategic planning, operations and manufacturing, customer relations, engineering, supply chain, talent development, and mergers and acquisitions within the electronics manufacturing arena. 

Teresa previously served as chief executive officer for TMG Electronics, Inc. Before joining TMG in 2015, she was vice president of operations for the $200 million commercial electronics division of LaBarge, Inc., a position she retained following LaBarge’s acquisition by Ducommun Incorporated in 2011. In this role, Teresa was responsible for growing the sales and profitability of the electronics manufacturing services business within the industrial, medical, and other commercial markets. She oversaw six manufacturing operations throughout the United States and in Thailand. 

Earlier, Teresa served as chief operating officer of Pinnacle Electronics, LLC, which was acquired by LaBarge in 2004. Before joining Pinnacle in 2002, Teresa spent 10 years with Sony Electronics, Inc., where she held various positions in engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, including vice president of operations for Sony’s Pittsburgh Television Group, a $900 million producer of large screen televisions. She was a member of the group’s start-up team, and was responsible for establishing the printed circuit assembly operations and implementing lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma™. Teresa previously held engineering and manufacturing management positions with Nabisco Brands, The Quaker Oats Company, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation.

Teresa earned an MBA in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering technology from the University of Pittsburgh.

Scott Gustafson

Scott Gustafson

Chief Operating Officer

Scott Gustafson is chief operating officer for Intervala. He is responsible for leading the company’s day-to-day operations and executing its long-term operating strategy, including direction of the engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and supply chain functions. Scott has served in this role since Intervala’s inception in January 2016. He has more than 30 years of experience leading global electronics manufacturing operations, including facilities in the United States, Southeast Asia, and Mexico.

Prior to joining Intervala, Scott served for 10 years as general manager for Ducommun LaBarge Technologies, Inc., and its predecessor LaBarge, Inc., in Pittsburgh, Pa. In this role, he led all aspects of the $100 million business, which was a vertically integrated contract manufacturer of circuit card assemblies, electronic and electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical and machined products. He also assisted in the development of various corporate initiatives. 

Scott joined LaBarge from Lockheed Martin Corporation where he was employed in business development. He previously held general manager positions for Matco Electronics Group, U.S. Assemblies Hallstead, and Texitron, Inc. 

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology.

Melanie Keenan

Melanie Keenan

Chief Financial Officer

Melanie Keenan is chief financial officer for Intervala. She has served in this role since Intervala’s inception in January 2016, and is responsible for the company’s accounting and finance, human resources, information technology, and administration functions. Melanie has more than 30 years of management experience in accounting and finance, complex business system integrations, and mergers and acquisitions.

Melanie previously served as chief financial officer for General Carbide Corporation. Before joining General Carbide in 2012, she was director of finance and administration for the $200 million commercial electronics division of LaBarge, Inc., a position she retained following LaBarge’s acquisition by Ducommun Incorporated in 2011. In this role, Melanie directed the accounting, human resources, and information technology functions for six manufacturing operations throughout the United States and in Thailand.

Earlier, Melanie served as chief financial officer for Pinnacle Electronics LLC, which was acquired by LaBarge in February 2004. She joined Pinnacle in 2001 after seven years with its predecessor Contraves, Inc., where she held a series of progressively responsible accounting and finance positions, including director of finance. She previously held accounting management positions with Robco, Inc. and Steelmet, Inc. 

Melanie earned bachelor’s degrees in accounting and finance and accounting/management information systems from The Pennsylvania State University.

Randy Lainhart

Randy Lainhart

Director of Business Development

Randy Lainhart is director of business development for Intervala. He joined the company in 2017 and is responsible for the advancement of its strategic business development initiatives within the industrial, natural resources, medical, and other select markets. 

Randy’s extensive career in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) industry spans more than 25 years, during which he has built a strong, industry proven track record for leading small and larger EMS providers in the consistent achievement of their growth objectives. In addition to his sales and marketing experience, he has provided strategic leadership in the areas of program management, estimating, and mergers and acquisitions. 

Randy joined Intervala from i3 Electronics, Inc., a vertically integrated provider of high-performance electronic solutions, where he was vice president of sales. His winning track record also includes implementing successful business development strategies as sales director for 4Front Solutions, LLC, and as vice president of sales and marketing for Catalyst Manufacturing, Inc., and OnCore Manufacturing, LLC, where he was directly responsible for the discovery and development of new customer accounts and leading the companies’ marketing direction. 

Randy holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Binghamton University.

Maria Ringer

Maria Ringer

Customer Solutions manager

Maria Ringer joined Intervala in 2016 and serves as customer solutions manager. Her role is to ensure that the customized manufacturing solutions Intervala provides are developed, implemented, and communicated for optimum customer satisfaction and business goal attainment. Her duties include coordinating with customers and internal project teams to define detailed project plans and manage effective project implementations.

Maria joined Intervala after 10 years with TMG Electronics, Inc., where she served in business analyst and program manager positions advising management on efficiency improvement opportunities, cost and profitability data, program status, and forecasts. She previously was employed as commodity manager with FORE Systems, Inc. 

Maria holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Washington & Jefferson College.

Bill Nolan

Bill Nolan

Director of Supply Chain and Program Management

Bill Nolan has served as director of supply chain and program management for Intervala since the company’s inception in January 2016. He is responsible for directing Intervala’s overall supply chain operations, including strategic purchasing and inventory of raw materials, selection and evaluation of vendors, and distribution of finished goods. He also oversees Intervala’s program management function which is responsible for managing the customer-company relationship through excellent communication and effective project coordination. 

Bill has more than 30 years of experience in electronic supply chain operations. He previously was director of supply chain and program management for TMG Electronics, Inc. Before joining TMG in 2015, Bill served for 12 years as materials manager for Ducommun LaBarge Technologies, Inc., and its predecessor LaBarge, Inc., in Pittsburgh, Pa., a $100 million vertically integrated contract manufacturer of circuit card assemblies, electronic and electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical and machined products. 

Before joining LaBarge, Bill worked as director of logistics for Inrange Technology Corporation. He previously was employed for 15 years as materials manager for Black Box Corporation where he was the project lead on Black Box Brazil’s greenfield startup, and was responsible for the infrastructure development and hiring of all new employees within the venture. 

Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Duquesne University. He earned a Certificate of Production and Inventory Management from the American Production and Inventory Control Society.

Chris Samios

Chris Samios

director of Design and Test Engineering

Chris Samios has served as director of design and test engineering for Intervala since the company’s inception in January 2016. He is responsible for all aspects of the company’s design, test, and new product introduction areas. Chris has more than 25 years of engineering experience in the electrical and electronic manufacturing industry.

Prior to joining Intervala, Chris was director of design and test engineering for Ducommun LaBarge Technologies, Inc., and its predecessor LaBarge, Inc., in Pittsburgh, Pa., a vertically integrated contract manufacturer of circuit card assemblies, electronic and electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical and machined products. He previously spent 18 years with Raytheon JPS Communications, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Raytheon Company that designed, manufactured and sold electronic hardware and software products to enhance the effectiveness of communication systems. During his time with JPS, Chris held a series of progressively responsible engineering positions, including engineering manager for the product engineering area. He was granted a U.S. patent for designs used in a JPS communications system. Chris previously worked as an electrical engineer for Hatch Mott MacDonald and Union Switch and Signal. 

Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

Bill Mazza

Bill Mazza

Director of Operational Excellence

Bill Mazza has served as director of operational excellence for Intervala since the company’s inception in January 2016. He is responsible for all manufacturing engineering and operational effectiveness activities within the company. Bill has more than 30 years of experience in marketing, product development, manufacturing, and quality within the military, aviation, and medical industries.

Previously, Bill served as engineering manager for TMG Electronics, Inc. Before joining TMG in 2015, he spent 17 years at Sensus USA Inc. where he held a series of progressively responsible positions, including director of Electric Meter Product Management. In this role, Bill was responsible for the company’s electric meter product portfolio, overseeing the go-to-market strategy, product development, certification, product manufacturing, quality, and delivery. Prior to his work at Sensus, Bill was a senior engineer for Pacer Systems Inc., where he was responsible for design, qualification and manufacture of electronic equipment for the U.S. Department of Defense. He also worked as an aerospace engineer for the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command.

Bill earned an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

David Link

David Link

Quality manager

David Link is quality manager for Intervala. He is responsible for ensuring that products manufactured by the company meet all necessary quality and regulatory standards before they reach the customer. He also directs Intervala’s quality management system and quality assurance programs. David has 25 years of professional quality management experience in the manufacturing arena, including an extensive background providing and leading quality, regulatory, and risk management solutions for companies that produce and distribute FDA-registered medical devices.

David joined Intervala in 2017 from Omnicell, Inc., where as manager of quality engineering he oversaw lifecycle quality for the firm’s products and materials. He previously was employed as manager of quality assurance for Philips Electronics NV, Respironics Healthcare Division. Prior to that, he served as director of quality assurance for Pilkington Aerospace, Inc. 

David holds an MBA with emphasis in finance and strategy for operations management from the Simon Business School – University of Rochester, and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Pennsylvania State University.

Damian Essel

Damian Essel

Operations and Planning manager

Damian Essel has served as operations and planning manager for Intervala since the company’s inception in January 2016. He is responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing function, including production, scheduling, budgeting, capacity planning, supervision, and compliance with environmental requirements. Damian has more than 30 years of progressively responsible experience in the manufacturing arena.

Prior to joining Intervala, Damian was operations and planning manager for Ducommun LaBarge Technologies, Inc., and its predecessor LaBarge, Inc., in Pittsburgh, Pa. In this role he directed the manufacturing function of the $100 million business, which was a vertically integrated contract manufacturer of circuit card assemblies, electronic and electromechanical assemblies, and mechanical and machined products. During his seven years with the organization, he also worked as the production manager and a program manager.

Earlier, Damian served as manufacturing supervisor, master scheduler, and inventory control specialist for Pinnacle Electronics LLC, which was acquired by LaBarge in February 2004. He joined Pinnacle in 2001 after 11 years with its predecessor Contraves, Inc., where he was employed as a wireman.

Damian holds a bachelor’s degree in professional studies from Duquesne University.
