The most exciting project I worked on this summer would be reverse engineering a board.
It was very interesting seeing the different processes that were used to get all the information that was needed. This was a great opportunity to learn as well as apply my knowledge from my classes.
The most exciting thing about Human Resources is no day is the same as the day before.
We have several projects happening at once and observing the Human Resources team at Intervala coordinate them is inspiring. I appreciate the opportunity this internship has provided to experience real-world situations and lessons. This internship has reconfirmed for me that this is a role I see myself in long term. Probably the most interesting project(s) I worked on this summer was creating different Excel macros to automate time-consuming data management procedures.
It’s something I had never worked on before and I had to do a lot of research (and trial and error) to figure out a completely new skill. It really taught me how difficult it is to keep track of accurate data collection and management when working which such a large quantity of complicated and sensitive products.
I did a project to analyze the disposition of non-conforming material from the depanelization process for the past three years.
Then I created a presentation to present the data to management.
The most interesting task I worked on this summer was tariff sheets.
It was very interesting to see the buying process from start to finish and how these processes affect the everyday business practices of a corporation.
During my internship at Intervala, they encouraged me to expand my business and programming expertise.
A few tasks I have done are setting up and closing quotes, as well as developing macros to simplify various parts of the quoting process. One of these macros was to adjust material quantities when quoting family assemblies. Doing so has saved the material analysis hours of complex manual calculations in addition to reducing the possible human error.
