PITTSBURGH, October 29, 2018—Intervala, LLC, a full-service manufacturer of high-reliability, precision electronic and electromechanical products, today announced that President and CEO Teresa Huber was named CEO of the Year by the Pittsburgh Technology Council at its 22nd Annual Tech 50 Awards on October 25, 2018. The awards celebrate southwestern Pennsylvania’s most successful, innovative and thought-leading technology companies. The CEO of the Year award recognizes Huber as the top tech executive in the region.

Huber has served as president and CEO of Intervala since founding the company in 2016. In that time, Intervala has achieved double-digit annual revenue growth, significantly expanded its global customer base and increased employment more than 40 percent. Huber has 25 years of leadership, manufacturing and engineering experience in the Pittsburgh region’s electronics manufacturing sector, driving positive outcomes for business leaders such as Westinghouse Electric, Sony, Pinnacle Electronics and LaBarge, Inc.

“I’m extremely honored and grateful to the Pittsburgh Technology Council for this award, which reflects the tremendous talent of Intervala’s 200-plus team members,” said Huber. “I believe the role of a CEO is to put the right team in place and then get out of the way. I’m forever grateful to our group of exceptional individuals who embrace tough challenges, innovate on a dime and make our customers’ success their top priority every day.”

Rain or Shine, Intervala Finds the Fun!

A little rain didn’t stop our fun-loving employees and their families from having a great time at Intervala’s annual picnic! Many of the festivities were moved indoors at Pittsburgh’s Boyce Park, but that didn’t stop the fun. Kudos to Apple Harvest Catering for the delicious lunch and to Mike the Balloon Guy for the great entertainment, including a captivating magician, an insightful caricaturist and a talented airbrush tattoo artist who was a hit with kids! Participants in the cornhole tournament and “Closest to the Flamingo” long-drive contest rose to the challenge despite the soggy conditions. Cheers to employees Kerry Metz and Sandi Rop, the cornhole victors, and to Jamie Welsh, the long-drive champ. A great time was had by all. Big thanks to everyone who turned out and to Intervala’s Employee Association for coordinating this year’s picnic.

Intervala employees donated more than 500 new school supplies, including backpacks, lunch bags, crayons, notebooks, markers and, of course, PENCILS, PENCILS, PENCILS! A huge thank you to our employees for their amazing generosity and to Principal Jean Livingston and the entire staff at Wilkins Primary for all they do.
