Intervala Kicks Off New Business Year with Second Annual Gala

All work and no play? Not at Intervala! We celebrated the start of our new business year with dinner, drinks, dancing, and photo booth fun! On January 20, more than 130 Intervala employees and their guests gathered at the DoubleTree in Monroeville, Pa., for our second annual gala.

The festivities began with a cocktail hour, hors d’oeuvres, and employee mingling, set to light instrumental music courtesy of Fifth Ace Entertainment. After a delicious four-course dinner from the DoubleTree culinary staff, we had our first round of door prizes with 13 employees winning gift cards to fabulous restaurants and stores in the Pittsburgh area!

Then, DJ Tim Palmer turned up the music, drawing people out of their seats and onto the dance floor, while Fifth Ace owner Dan Koch kept the line at the photo booth flowing throughout the night. Before the evening’s end, we had last call for cocktails and round two of door prizes with six employees winning a variety of items ranging from Pittsburgh Penguins and Pirates gear and tickets, to a 40-inch flat screen TV!

Thank you to all the employees who contributed to the success of our gala and to those who attended the event. Each of you made it such a fun and exciting evening for all! We are so fortunate to have a team that not only works hard, but isn’t afraid to kick off their shoes and dance the night away! Cheers to a great year!

What’s So Cool About Manufacturing? Students from J.E. Harrison Middle School in Pittsburgh are getting ready to show you using Intervala as their backdrop! The kids are participating in the 2017-18 "What’s So Cool About Manufacturing?" student video contest sponsored by Catalyst Connection, an economic development organization helping manufacturers in Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The annual video contest is a STEAM program that pairs up middle school students across Pennsylvania with local companies to create a new perspective on the exciting career opportunities that exist in manufacturing. Voting for the best student video will take place in early February with winners announced later that month. The Intervala team is delighted to support these bright minds and budding filmmakers!
